Some script at some time will give you a fake pr and sometime it could Google just recently update PR after u check the PR. And due to you never build backlink to it then all that pr goes to Zero.
What you have to do now is building backinks again

PR0 generally means your site is indexed and has known inbound links, but just not enough links to get you to PR1.

It can also be a sign of a URL being penalized. Don't get me wrong, I'm not implying that the site "is" penalized... just stating that some URLs when placed under penalty have their toolbar PR set to 0. Without looking at the site, the back link profile, knowing the history of the site's back link profile, who they link out to, and more... it's impossible to make such a determination as to "why" their PR dropped.

My guess would be they likely spent time building a bunch of links using unnatural link building techniques like blog commenting, article submission, forum sigs, etc. and got the site to PR2 or PR3. Then they stopped building links... The problem is that the effectiveness of unnatural link building (blog commenting, article submission, forum sigs, etc.) fade over time as those blog post, articls, forum threads, etc. fall farther and farther back into the archives of the sites where they exist. So when use these techniques for link building, you can never stop building links even if you want to maintain your current rankings. Just to maintain your current rankings you have to continue to build more and more links because the old links are getting weaker and weaker over time.
