About how much?

    About how much do you think a website ranked in the Alexa top 10,000 on average makes with adsense? I don't want to hear about niche and all that mess, just want a figure. What are the sites in the top 10,000 making?

    The reason why I ask is because within the next 2 months my site will be in the top 10,000. I took adsense off of it a few weeks ago and have left it off and I only plan to put it back when I'm in the top 10,000.


    Any help would be appreciated. :)

    valid only for true generic alexa ranks of course:

    math is simple - i have a FULLY adsense optimized site rank around 40'000 and get 3-4k/m
    a top 10'000 rank needs approx 100 or MORE times higher traffic for that rank ...
    hence makes about 100 times more $/m

    a NON-adsense optimized site however normally would make a fraction of above anywhere from 10-30% of above.
    MOST sites on the web are NON-adsense-optimized and most webmasters i know so far have NO interest in really getting max out of adsense. to fully optimize you would have to turn in your ego in favor of your advertisers' needs - it appears most would rather die than doing just that

    It is really hard to tell how much you will earn when your site is in the top 10,000 of Alexa rank.

    The money you earn from Google AdSense depends on the number of clicks and what Ads are being clicked by visitors. If your visitors clicks on high paying Ads, the you will earn more.

    It could be that much or can be much more a day depending on the source of traffic, the content, the type of site, etc.

    In my opinion Alexa is absolutely useless. Sorry for the strong words.

    I have one site with 10.000 unqiue visitors a day alexa rank 110.000
    I have another one with less than 100 unique visitors a day alexa rank 95.000

    it depends on many factors. Very hard to say. You should add adsense now, and optimize it until you get in top10000.
