Okay, I've got a webhosting site (its a free host). Now, I'm getting hundreds of visits from the Googlebot on my forum and site. Yet, rarely do people find me via google.com by search unless they search for my domain name.

Is there any way to increase my traffic from google?

You need good rankings for highly search keywords and many backlinks from site that has high traffic.

It's difficult to give any reasonable advice without knowing your site. But you should start from doing onsite SEO work, and then start to build quality backlinks structure. Check your competitors and try to learn on what they done already.

googlebots do index your pages for the search engine but if you only have enough backlinks will it be in a higher position, u cant expect much traffic from google with one keyword with 10 backlinks from directories, u need to keep on building backlinks
