    I can see the Links tab in the About section of G+. I would like to know the difference between Other profiles and Contributor to.

    Other profiles refer to twitter, fb etc. you might add them if you wish to do so.
    Contributor is, if you own a blog or writing articles to any blog/website you can add them.

    Thanks for the info, rajeshn07. Can you tell me Flickr comes under which tag; Other profiles or Contributor. Actually I was checking the "External Accounts" option on Digital Point and it's written that if you set a contributor link in your Google+ profile, any thread you create here will show your avatar next to it in Google.

    Flickr will be under other profiles. If you are an author of any blog you can link that blog in contributor.
    Regarding external accounts option, it is up to you to decide to add or not in contributor. If you are an active poster here, you can add it, else leave it.
