I get PR one 3 month after creating my blog site, but i don't know how much time i need to waiting for PR 2
See Page Rank algorithm here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PageRank You will be able to calculate the timing to get next PR for your page.
Page rank algorithm is a little hard to understand for me too, what I think is if you are working continuously on your site, page rank would also increase, it can be due to quality backlinks, traffics and other factors too.
PR only depends upon back links. PR of your back link page and the number of out-bond links on that page are key factors in it.
Something about PR. If domain is parked with empty index file with NO outbound links on it, that domain gets PR up to PR6 with about 50 crappy backlinks which make no effects. Domain gets high PR, but will get down to PR0 or something like that when you put a whole website on that domain. Many sellers are selling high PR domains with 50 crappy backlinks and people still get ripped off today.
I always don't know why people out there giving so much importance for PR! I feel the conversion rate is more important for your website rather than PR! Even a PR 0 website can rank 1st place of Google for certain keywords!
Nice discussions about PR. Getting the right domain name (preferably an EMD), and employing proper IM techniques. It isn't easy though, to get to PR1 requires working hard and smart. Nice replies to the OP and insights too.
I got PR3 in 3months. Domain is new and not having any previous records. Alexa rank increase according to traffic & PR increase according to backlinks.
