I just want to share Google’s updates in regards to movies and show times of movies.

I was wondering about this update… when you search for any movie by its name in the Google search… you will find all the details about the movie in your local theaters. The reason of my wondering is: How Google fetches the data?? Because there is no online form and sites available to fetch the data and show it in the search results…

Hope I will get proper reply and solution for my wondering…

    Thanks

It gets the data by querying IMDB as well as the showtime websites of the local theaters -- there are plenty of apps which sync the data of movie showtimes on a national scale across movie theater chains and that database is extensive. IMDB offers the apis, moviefone, fandango and many others.

I hope that gives you the answer to your question -- I find the movie showtimes rather weak in regards to the radius of showtimes given but it is a very cool feature which they definitely work on internally.
