Signature is at least effective in getting backlinks we need. Some of the visits do come really from various forums. It is always benefitial to have forum postings with signature containing a link to your site or blog.l
Signature won't do you good in terms of backlinks but it can bring a lot of joy if you post on a large forum and make yourself of good help.
