Which ads? Do you mean where you pay for your site to be sent out onto 2.5 million emails? My first thought is spam unless it’s coming for an extremely well known company.

There again I have never tried it so I cant say if its a scam or not, sure sounds like one.

Did you see the site it was advertising? Would be interesting to see the jokers running the ad.

When you sign up to some web site they ask you click here if you don't want to receive e-mail from our partners or something like that. If you don't tick it on you agree to receive e-mails.

Yeah too many sites do this and usually have that statement well hidden.

I am usually very careful when signing up on a website and make sure that my email will not be sent onto a 3rd but no matter what I still end up with hundreds of emails in my inbox that have no interest to me at all.

If I dont know the sender of the email or reconise it as a org or site that I am interested in I place it to spam so I'll say blasting over 2 million sites as a 3rd party source is just plain spam.

I don't think so...and you'd never have proof if it were really sent out either.

Yeah, agree with Dekker, how can you know that it's real 2 million 'spam' emails have been sent? Just no proof.
