Hey Everybody, i have question about the relation between website pagerank and how fast it act in search engine ranking. for instance if we have domain1 with PR5 and doamin2 with PR1 and they both doing same exact SEO work. does domain1 will ranks faster than domain2 for the specific query/keyword ? thanks
domain1 will have higher rank for specific keywords. As you already mentioned that domain1 has PR5, this simply means that Google will give more value to domain1. Pagerank measures your SEO work. You have done good seo work for domain1 as compared to domain2.
When you use the word, "fast", I'm assuming you're talking about how often does Google crawl your pages, how much it indexes your pages. The higher PR of your website, the more pages Google will index. If you have a website with 10,000 URLs, with a PR5, Google will probably only index about 40% of those URLs. I have a website with 33,000 URLs, and a PR6, and I can only get Google to index about 60% of the URLs. If my site was a PR7, I assume I could get 75% indexing. As for how often Google crawls a website, it typically is based on how often your pages are updated, not so much what your PR is.
First I would like to clear that PR measure only link popularity and it has "nothing" to do with ranking/SERPs directly. Secondly, for both sites with same optimization scenario, there might be few other things which might not be same, like: - age of domain - weight of website (pages) - quality of content - frequency of update Hope this helps.
Hi, I think a domain with higher PR would usually have advantages for SERP purpose since: 1. higher PR would usually mean higher quality contents and back links - this is also loved by Google and other engines 2. PR itself is ranking factor though not so important as title tag. all the best,
