As you can read in all the public documents, DMOZ is not a free listing service. You are welcome to suggest your site for review by a volunteer, but there is no timetable for when that might happen.
Editors are free to search for sites wherever they choose, and the pool of suggestions is just one place they can look if they wish.

Thank you for suggesting your site, but please do not waste your time suggesting sites which can never be included. (I presume you did read the guidelines on which sites are suitable for inclusion?)

Such a statement could mislead many-a-reader into thinking it's a PAID listing service, as the ONLY service at DMOZ is the listing of sites in a directory format.

Or are you sayings it's not a sercive at all? As that too is questionable when one looks at how slow it can often be to get listed, in a directory that lists sites.

As for the guidelines, those are just guidelines. The proof of that can be seen all over the directory, starting with the affilated sites of the admin and trickling down to many-an-editor....which the directory IS a listing service for many of them.
