Hi i want to ask something here. I searched in copyscape.com to search who duplicated my content and i think there are many of my own articles (which i have already rewritten them), i think i have rewritten all of them so 50% of my article in my website is different from my articles in article directories, but why copyscape still think it is all the same? And one ridicilous thing is i found a website that actually very not similar with my website (it is about rolex..my website is about weight loss) but copyscape think that website duplicated my content...but when I visited that website, I think there are only 20% the same...

what i want to ask is how google search for "duplicate content", it is all the same with copyscape? dangerous if yes..

    Copyscape uses Google's API.

So what Google can do, copyscape can. And what Google cant, copyscape cant. As simple as that.

I also reword some of articles and check them in copyscape, I'm pleased to see that it didn't consider my reworded articles as duplicate.

I thought copyscape consider words and phrases only.
if phrases and words are same then it shows as duplicate.

Oh wow... a single line of content?

Maybe it's more rare then i'm assuming.. but isn't it fairly easy to word a sentence the same even though it's you're unique content?

If he has really copied your site, then contact the webmaster, then the host, then the authorities.

I think that in order for copyscape to not flag content as duplicate you need to change about every 4th word as well as sentences etc. Or in otherwords if you have like 4 or 5 words in a row the same as any other page then it will show up as a dupe.

I recently put up a brand new site with totally hand written content and it was promoting an e-book so for the caption of the ebook I used the title of about 6 words in the same as the one in clickbank.

When I checked my pages with copyscape it came back as a dupe! I reworded the title and no more dupe.

I was struggling with a very competitive keyword with jsut that keyword as my title... I was in the top pages, then fell back, then top pages, then dissapeared... I finally changed my title and it stuck.. So I learned that one the hard way! haha..
