Depends how much content is copied and if you have refered the original owner. I suggest using CopyScape to check you site.

Merely citing these websites as your source does not allow you to get away with copying their content. You need to have permission from them in order to use the content on your site.

I second that motion. I see this all over the internet, people say I don't claim copyright. You can not use someone elses information by copy and pasting. If you did it as a news article, or improved upon it so much then that might be a different story.
Anyways don't take my advise, look it up or contact an attorney.

Why would readers visit your site if the material is just lifted from elsewhere. You will have more success with high quality, well researched, unique content.

Why is it that I don't feel I hear stuff like this said often enough? :)

That's illegal. You need to get permission from the author who actually wrote the content.

If you have copied from blogs and mentioned the original URL at end can work.I have read if you are referring the original blog then it is allowed in blog space. But if owner don't want you to use this content then he can take action against you.

But if you are copying from a copyrighted commercial website they can take action against you.And even blogger have process to remove copy righted content

So better you either take permission or create your content because sooner or later they will come back to you apart from it is not a good to steal others content.
