    Wordpress is very good, but if you are serious about it then you should not be using the free version - rules change all the time and what is working for you today may not if they change the rules.

    Always host your own website.

    Wordpress is the best. But be careful not to overload your blog with all sort of "so-called" best plugins. Some have vulnerabilities that may put your blog at risk.

    I will also put in a plug for the Wordpress Thesis theme. It is not free but the cost is reasonable and it has an awesome support base. It is well-optimized for SEO "out-of-the box." I am not affiliated with the product. I just like it!

    Have you ever done link building to this blog? Did your blog just get PR3 without doing anything but only set up under Wordpress.com? Just a curious :)
