About blog commenting

I am doing that for my new site's SEO.
However, I have a question.

1: In most pages, comments are hidden and to be able to see them you have to click "comments". Does a link from that kind of hidden places of a page still work?

2: New page, pop up for comments.

I noticed blogspot blogs sometims have these kind of comments sections.
I mean, to see the comments, you are redirected to a new page, or even sometimes a pop up page. Is it still worth putting a comment (a link) there?

In my opinion,if the "comment" is do follow,then the spider could crawl your link.

Blog comments are really useful in SEO to create backlinks. There is high trend for blog posts.

 

You don't need to have backlinks only from home pages

No. Where did you read that ?

 

Try installing SEO quake to find out the external links in that page. If you link is present with a do-follow tag, then you can be assured that it gets the PR of that particular blog post.

If such page gets index by search engines, and comments are do follow, then it will be considered as backlink. But I personally do not prefer to have comments from blogs as you cannot use anchor text and quality of these backlinks is low as they are not relevant in most cases.

 

for now , social bookmarking , blog commenting and forum signatures are the main way to get backlinks for me . Just look if blog , where you want to post comments , are do follow . If its do follow , spiders will crawl your site . Also i think msn do not obbey to nofollow . I do not agree with above post , the quality of backlinks often is high. You just need to find relevant blog to your site.

Blog commenting is pretty important to me. Not only it gives your site a PR boost, but when a visitor comes to read the blog, reads the positive comment, they will want to know more about what someone else is talking about in a blog. There is a direct and indirect effect to blog commenting.

 

I don't know why you are telling like this or where you have read this? Blog comments are do follow and no follow but they don't have negative effect.

 

Yes, If you put wrong comments on wrong blogs then it will create a bad impact on your site.

 

How will that affect your site in a wrong way. .Yes, you will not get the best link benefit, but hey an anchored backlink is always good even though an unrelated post might hamper the value of the link but it is never a disadvantage.

If a link IS do follow it will definitaly help you, even if the comment is bad or good.
