Actually some say Google backlinks update every two months or updates same with Google Pagerank 3 or 4 months.... The last PR updates happen on April 28, 2007 approximate date and count 3 to 4 months after the last update maybe updates happen on third week of august...

If you are using the standard (link:domain.com) then you will only see a small percentage of the links Google considers in it’s algorithmic calculations for your site. The data provided within Google Webmaster Tools, or Sitemaps, is said to display a higher percentage of links, and be updated more frequently. This is coming from Vanessa Fox on the Google Sitemaps blog. Just because Google isn’t showing a link to your site, doesn’t mean it’s not helping your rankings. If you’re looking for an accurate list of incoming links, I would recommend Yahoo Site Explorer or Backlink Watch.
