Ability to post

I'd like to create a post in two different sections, Content Creation and the Buy & Sell.

Why is it necessary to post stuff like this, to increase my post count, to make the post I really want to?

It seems counter productive to what I assume is the goal of the system, less "spam and/or crap".

Just think, if I could post in these two sections I wouldn't have posted this useless post here that you wasted half a second to skim.

I suppose I do have a point so the post isn't completely useless, but it's borderline at best.

To ensure you actually contribute to the forum, and to disallow people from signing up, posting spam offers, etc.

Make 10 more posts, what's the big deal?

Not a deal at all. It is like going to a car forum and having to post about bicycles first is all.

You do have a point here, brother. But think about this for a second- you create your first thread/post in BST for buying/selling something At that time your reputation in this forum would be equivalent to 0.And moreover, people wouldn't do business with a person who's just been a member a couple of hours ago. So, it's always better to have some post count(legit, not crap/spam) and have been part of the forum for a few weeks.

Or you could always treat this thing as a tradition/custom :)

Actually, you are at the car forum trying to post about bicycles. The Buy/Sell/Trade is done as a favor to existing users and is no where remotely close to the main purpose of this forum.

However Shawn, i will say MANY members only visit for the Buy, Sell and Trade sections.

    Anyway, that is irrelevant.

You need 25 posts and to have been a member for 14 days (i think) to be able to make your own topics in those sections. :)
