If it is too much trouble/work for us to know the username of forum members who give infractions, I understand.

But if it is an easy job, please allow us to know who it is that is giving the red marks/infractions. I think it is appropriate to allow us to defend ourselves against them, especially those baseless ones !

I read in the stickies, and did not see this particular thing addressed, but if I missed it somewhere, forgive me.

    Thanks

what could possibly be gained by knowing who gave you an infraction?
if yu have a problem with an infraction you received, message a moderator and ask about it.

Because people can give you a hit, and you can not hit back. Those who give an infraction and can not back up their opinion.... they just did not like your post... and gave a "hit"... should they have anonymity ?

Self-defense is a basic human right. Those who want to give ignorant, baseless infractions should be exposed, right ?

Like, right now, I could mark your post, give you an infraction, and say
you did not truly read all my post. Its a baseless accusation. ( If I give you an infraction, I will tell you it was me. ) But... you will not know who did it... would you like that ?

I learned today that people can give infractions and not reveal their identity. I have given infractions to people and I figured the site would tell them it was me. If they had a gripe with me for doing it, I figured they had the right to tell me about it. Its not that way.

Here is what the FAQ says :

The infraction system is fast and does the same job (ultimately you want to inform the user that they shouldn't do whatever they are doing).

I was accused of being a "scammer". I deserve an apology. What I know is backed up by observable facts (science). I can safely say that what I promoted on DP not only is fact, but the information received the Nobel Prize ! The information came from one of the world's foremost biochemists, and I get blasted anonymously for it ? ( If you are the "infractioner" - and are reading this - show yourself. ). Okay, this is long, but again, do you like it when people can make baseless accusations against you and stay hidden ? Please answer the question.

Actually, self defense is not a human right...

Infractions only come from mods and admins, other (normal) users cannot give you one. As far as your infraction, it was for Inappropriate / Disallowed Post. I really don't think you have the ability to decide what is allowed/not allowed on this site anymore than we have the ability to decide what is allowed/disallowed from your site.

There is nothing in your infraction about being a "scammer". Please copy/paste your infraction email where you see otherwise.

no you can't. you can give me reputation one way or the other. but an infraction?
your talking about reputation. its an unmoderated area and should be taken with a grain or 2 of salt.

so who owes who an apology?

I revised my post above before you wrote yours.

What hâs the UÑ done for the world ? Rwanda ? Other
countries that are dying... ? Do you really want them to tell
you that you can not defend yourself ?

If a person came up to you on the street and hit you, would you hit back ??

If the answer is yes, then support me. But.... if takes too much work on the site... like I said, I understand.

    Thanks for responding.

Ah, so you are talking about reputation, not infractions. Reputation is only viewable by you and is nothing more than an opinion.

If you are asking for the right to "defend yourself and hit someone" because of someone's opinion... yeah... not going to happen, sorry.

Okay, reputation and infraction. My wording was wrong. I was wrong but did no harm to anyone so I owe no one an apology. If no harm is done no crime is committed. Law 101.

I can see that people usually refuse to answer questions about how they would want to be treated. Where is your answer ?

Its dumb to try and get this world to be fair isnt it ?

    And this statement :

"The United Nátions Humán Ríghts Council has decláred that there ís no humán right to self-defénse."

Means they also have no right to defend themselves ? Fair is fair, right ?

    Questions, questions.....

You asked : Who owes who an apology ? The answer; Those who lie about others anonymously owe the apologies.

An even better option would be to simply click the [IMG] button on your reputation window. Then you never see reputation/opinions of people.
