AAAGGGGHHH!!! Letter from Google.

it is a bit confusing to me. base on the replied email, it tells that your site is banned but on the 2nd paragraph, it says your account remains active. Which means you can place ads on other site.

 

No, they just banned the site, not the account. That means the site was outside the guidelines but they are not accusing you of clickfraud.

I would get a new domain and do a header redirect.

 

I also got the same email not too long ago, the problem was someone on my forum posted the definition of "cunt" from wikipedia in a thread where members were having a laugh by posting the funniest page from wikipedia, I had to remove my adsense from my forum after the email because i did not want my forum domain banned from using adsense as i cannot 100% make sure every post complies with Googles very long TOS.

 

I did the same thing, but i'm scared that they might bann my other account.

Plus I don't recommend a header redirect, because it might hurt your rankings from the other site (If the traffic is from search engines)

What I did is that I put a big big banner... so people for sure they will click, which will take them to the new site where the google ads are on it.

 

You are lucky sir that your adsense account is not banned
but only the site in question...

Hope google will do this to everybody..
warn first before doing some banning..

I've received a similar mail but it was about mature content on my vbulletin forums. Funny thing is the URL breaking TOS was mydomain.com/search.php?searchid=840 (search id's in vbulletin expire after a day)

at least they didn't ban me right away
