sorry i had to start a new thread because there were so many threads about google not showing their website in serps. i had few issues with blog about everything, but it is working great now. It is even showing my post as latest as few hours back. I think what i did right was write down lengthy quality contents that people would search for while keeping outbound links to the minimum because then your site might look like a link seller and inbound links to the maximum from quality sites. I think instead of wasting time panicking, we should focus on creating a good website or blog, whichever you are concerned with. imo panicking against google doesn't help at all, doing things right helps a lot. here is another advice one new site i created lately also had problem with google serps. i realize what i was doing was writing small/short things google doesn't care for. most importantly, keep updating your site. i think the way google robots looks at your site is through pattern - if you don't update your site often, google robots start crawling your site less. i hope this helps atleast one person. sincerely, glasshoper @ dp.
I had a similar thought about that a couple of days ago. Big tip don't try to become number one for a search term its pointless instead write a lot of quality content every day or couple of days. Don't buy links but do promote yourself by promoting other people. The links will eventually come back. If you don't have quality then Google will go "This site is crap full of rubbish trying to manipulate me. Go in the bin." Instead if you wrote a lot of quality on your site and didn't bother to push the search word you want then you will get there automatically and it will be better in the long run.
