    Hi all,
MOD pls apologies me if I have posted my queries in wrong forums.

Tech Pals I need your advice.

I have a client whose website is about 3+ yrs old. It's keywords ranking is going good and traffic too. Now he wants to create a Entrance Page through which users will enter in his present website.
Actually he wants the entrance page at www.domain.com and the whole stuffs of present homepage shall be moved to inner page [will create]. I am sure this step would surely drop his present keywords ranking. so I asked him not to do that. I thought of a Pop-up but that's not gonna solve this requirement.

Is there any way to create the page which opens the entrance-page not present home page?

I know some of you may have done such projects. I shall be thankful if you guys share something and help me out from this situation.

    Thanks in advance
    Jackie

This should be really simple to do. Rename your current index file to something like "home.html" then create a new index.html file for your entrance page and link the new entrance page to your "home.html".

Thanks. If I rename my current index page then I think my website's keywords ranking would effect. Isn't it?

Any other way ??? i don't want to loose my keywords ranking for index page.

why fiddle with what works and risk breaking it if you don't really want to?
    just a thought...

I wouldn't do this - it could damage your SEO - create entirely a different landing page completely and have it give links to your clients wbesite
