A webmaster forum for young webmasters - What do you think?

I'm working on getting a logo done and have posted a logo idea contest in the DP contests section. For now, I've made the forums and categories. Some categories and forums were inspired from DP, I just tweaked the titles and made my own descriptions. Hopefully Shawn doesn't mind.


What do you guys think about the idea overall? Any suggestions or feedback you'd like to give?

I'd appreciate anything you have to say. Feel free to join if you're a young webmaster

Put the logo then, and we'll be able to say more

i mean yea its a nice forum social network site, concept is great too. but now you need to find the young entrepreneurs

 

I think you've got a good idea/niche - just work on the site design

 

Why didnt you just start a Australian webmaster board? That would be much more interesting :]

Nice concept

For the adsense ad on the top, I would make your ad link unit white so it stands out a bit more. Once you add the logo on the right, I hope the font is much larger than the placer text there. Colors are great!

 

I am not a big fan of the green in the design, even though it is being used sparingly. The rest of the design is fine for a forum, and I do agree with earlier comments that you'll probably want another review once the logo is in place.

You may want to add some disclaimers on the marketing forums because of your niche. I'm not sure how many of those programs allow minors to participate.

 

Yeah, but there have been like 3-4 posts there in April. A board with activity would be cool :]

Great concept you have there, although now im scared. Your young webmasters are going to be way to eager to take my job! (j/k..sort of).

While the overall structure and look of the site is not extraordinary (not that its a bad thing, it's just an expected format), I love the choice of that green as an accent color. Very nice job.

Thanks guys, glad you like the colors, but it's just a temporary skin until we go custom

Right now I have no idea how the new and custom design is going to look or how I'd want it to look.

 

make it something that plays on the title of the site...young people...

i'm seeing vivid, bright colors...maybe some sort of mascot for a logo, highly 'busy' but not cluttered at the same time...

ooh...mascot...maybe a young little kid dressed up like a webmaster (don't know how we dress though...lol)...sitting at a computer or something...
