I was talking to a paypal representative and they had told me that any dispute regarding a digital item, would be closed. In this case websites, domains ..etc. So then I asked how do you make sure that the other person claims that it was not a digital item. Than she gave me this method: When you are going to sell an digital item. You send a buyer an invoice from Paypal Request Money Section and within the description you tell them that the item is digital. In that case, if they do decide to fill a dispute, paypal will not be able to proceed because they state that they do not handle any dispute's regarding to Digital Items. Basically if what they told me is true, than wouldn't that be the way to stop Paypal Chargebacks.
Will sending a simply ordinary invoice prepared in 'word' work? and what if the buyer refuses to accept that such an invoice has ever reached him before the deal? Will Paypal take seller's copy on face value or should one ask for acknowledgment too from his buyer, before completing the transaction? Regards, RightMan
Keep proofs. PayPal always listens. If you're selling a product, show proofs that you've sent your product and show PayPal that your product is how you described it.
This is an invoice from paypal. You can request money from people from paypal. If you go to Paypal, you can see request money.
Well I think this is the nice idea and if PayPal representative has suggested this then I think it should work. And you can always ask your buyer to pay money through that invoice. Though this method will be costly as PayPal charges fee for invoice payment but now its upto seller that whether he wants to save few bucks or few hundred dollars. Thanks
So it means that if your going to send paypal invoice to your client there is still chances for sellers to win the dispute?. I have send some invoices before but I am not doing in in daily basis . I think I am going to do it when dealing for larger amount
