I'm not going to try and sell you anything in this entry. I look around DP, and I feel sad for so many people. I see a lot of people who are new to marketing and making money online, and I see them being completely exploited by a few wannabe "gurus" selling crap ebooks full of empty promises. I want everyone here to take a stand against this bullcrap. People who have a trick that makes an honest to god $500,$5000, $20000, or any other number trick are not selling them. They are using them on their own, and doing so as quietly as possible. I'm sorry, but there IS NOT an exception. Please, stop supporting these bullcrap snake oil sellers. I'm a blackhat, so I'll tackle that first. "Proven blackhat" methods are crap. I'm a real blackhat, and I'm telling you this right now. Any legitimate blackhat trick is not going to be for sale. In real blackhat communities, people shut up about their tricks. They're tight lipped. They do not make ebooks. If you want blackhat and can code, look up details on cloaking and scraping, and then CURL in PHP for dropping links/automating submissions. If you can't code, simplifiedsec sells a good entry level cloaker, and fantomaster sells a good high grade one. A link spammer is XRumer. If you can't afford XRumer, code your own. How is it acceptable to so many here to have these obviously bogus claims? Let person after person get ripped off? As someone who is actually making money online, I want to leave you with two facts. No one gets rich by buying a secret. They get rich by burning some cash and braincells experimenting, and finding an original way to get money. If you can't do this, internet marketing just may not be for you. A great quote to always remember: If you have a money printing machine, you do not sell the money printing machine. You print money with it. Remember that the next time something seems too good to be true. If this guy really had that "money printing machine", would he be selling it for $9.95? If anyone has any questions or anything else, leave them here and I will answer them. I would also like to encourage people. The next time you see a "too good to be true" offer, link to this thread. Remind people to be careful.
I agree with you, At first i laugh and say look another shyster trying to rip people off by trying to sell a "i make $100 with 1 hours worth of work". Yeah maybe selling 10 ebooks at $10 a piece. Then i start to feel sorry for the people, who may not know better and they may be caught up on the get rich online adrenalin. Ebooks were banned from ebay, i think they should also be banned from digitalpoint. Nothing but people willingly getting robbed by scammers. This is a forum to share information not sell information.
how true. "Guess how this million made 83,00000000 dollars on google", If I had a money prining machine, I'd print money. There is os much half ass crap that never makes you any money. Good point, rep +1 like hell, I've a read a few good e-books but so much of it gets circulated and used as a get rich quick scheme that it's not even worth it any more.
thanks for this post. I just recently started posting on DP after being a long time leecher and reader. I've come to realize this for myself, i just don't understand the point of it all. these people are making loads of money selling ebooks that they themselves may not be using. What also makes me upset is the reviewers giving it a great review and therefore making the ebook more popular by giving it a 9/10 or best deal or stop selling your secret now! kind of rating. This only dupes more and more noobies until they spend all their start up money buying useless ebooks with outdated materials. I don't even know who to trust on this board because of it, and now feel like there are scammers on DP when I used to think it was mostly upright aff marketers. Thank you for this post and keep up the great work. I will be more active from now on because of this, there's no point in paying something you can get for free through friends, and I hope to become friends with most of you in the near future. Thanks again.
Thanks for the post I'm very new to the world of online marketing and am spending most of my time researching, and trying to find my feet and direction. Your comments ring true and are a great reminder of the scams etc... that are out there. Especialy to a newbie like myself Thanks again.
Thanks you for this post. I never bought an ebook and will never buy one. I thought about buying one in the past but now I know better.
Good post, nice to hear someone saying what I'm sure a lot of us were thinking. I figure if you're going to waste money on an e-book you better make sure you get re-sell rights so you can turn around and keep the pyramid scheme going. There is good information out there, too. But its usually free or being monetized in some other way like affiliate links. I spent money on hosting and domain names, and so far that has been a good investment. I'm in it to make money, not spend it!
Yes I agree, I never understood why if someone had the secret to success, they would provide the information to anyone.
+rep from me. That was a good post and I think it sums a lot of things that are a waste of time into one "gotta read". Thanks for speaking out!
I agree, i have some cool marketing methods and I am not gonna share then, if I did I would sell them for like $1,000.
Much needed post. Mods should pin it. Maybe we should all just 'report' each and every similar snake-oil post we see here?
This is true. A lot of people selling crap and new people buying them gaining nothing out of their money. Everything they say are general topics that can be found in the net.
