When you get a warning, It would be nice to bloody know who warned you instead of "All the best, Digital Point Forums".

I recently posted a link to some browser tips and some mod or whoever decided it's spam...after i've been helping the community, I'm called a spammer for giving out a link ? Nice way to promote helping people. The thread has been deleted also.

Shame on whoever is abusing his mod powers!

This is the first thread that you have started that didn't contain a link to your blog in the first post.

I think you should just be happy with your warning. ;)

I'll take my warning and all the help i gave somewhere else then since my help is not appreciated. No wonder there's a billion other forums all talking crap about this forum but i always thought they were lies...apparently...they're not!

If you link to your blog for no apparent reason, I'd guess that counts as spam

Probably that is why this site's PR is going down. As posters get dejected they remove links from their blogs or sites that they earlier pointed to DP as a token of loyalty. This slowly reduces PR. Mods may not think like this. I am just guessing because each link counts for Page rank. No offense intended to anybody.

If you have not noticed pagerank has been going down on all the sites I frequent.

Do you always talk out of your ass?

You had your opportunity to promote your PR conspiracy theory here already:

May be you are right. I too noticed PR going down on some sites.
But some had their own problem like (scienceray, quazen etc.) replaced SEO links with links from traffic.outbrain.com. This outbrain concept was just to use them without replacing exisitng links. But they misused outbrain concept and lost good PR. PR flows through a complex chain of links some of them if get drained, that can affect badly. There is no point in much investigation into this as it is creating lot of heat.

I received an infraction the other day for something that I thought I didn't deserve and I was going to react. But after a few minutes I realised that, the infraction system is there for a reason.

Its not the end of the world, and its not personal.

I run a forum half this size, we don't issue warnings often, we usually send a friendly warning, but this is very time consuming, not suitable for this forum.

You should just get over it, you are still able to post and use the forum etc.

The last time I got a warning on a forum, (2 years ago) I made a competing forum and conquered it, (now I have 26,000 members just on one forum) yes I had took it personally!

Well if I had to pick between traffic going up and PR going down or PR going up and traffic going down, I would take traffic going up any day (and that's what's happening). As far as "angry" people unlinking. I doubt it. Google Webmaster Tools shows 1.1M external links to digitalpoint.com. Someone (or even 1,000 people) removing links would not cause it to go from PR8 to PR4.

Either way... I don't care whatsoever. I'm not selling links or anything that PR is good for. Google sends a massive amount of search engine traffic to this site every day (and it's always [and still is] steadily growing).
