I use a very successful technique.. There are free forums that you actually can open and start yourself. Forums, just like this forum. I have opened 1 forum for each product I promote and here I can choose what name my forum will have and I then choose the name that is for this product like in the below case "AffiliateProduct". The forum I use for all my products can be created at: www.webbinglife.com and they do support affiliates to start forums so that is no problem. They have a friendly support too. For example my forums URL is like this: www.webbinglife.com/myAffiliateProduct/Forum.aspx In each forum that I create, you will have a controlpanel where you first can put a BIG image of the size you want that is connected with an URL (Your affiliate link). This is on the top of the forum. Then you have 7 other links that is on the top of the forum, that you can name as you want and put your affiliates links to in your controlpanel. It could be "underproducts" to the real product that you are promoting. The forum is highly SEO targeted and I can find the posts that I am writing when I search after content I have written in my forum. It works the same as you would find content you written in this forum if you do some test searches on google. So write alot of stuff in your forum and start different users to actually "Talk about the product" is the perfect thing I can recommend. It much more powerful than using a blog. Think about using the correct sentences in your posts that you can think of that people will search for in your forum. The most important thing that you will think about is what you name your thread too. That is the most strong thing that Google search for when showing your posts in Google searchs from what people are searching for on google. Filling forums with information about a product is something you do over time. It is ofcourse work, but that is what I have found this technique very interesting. Almost the 2 first month I did not sell anything but now I have done 10 good forums this year and I can tell it works very good. A tips is to really find good products that will last very long. Strong brands, so your work in your forum will pay for a long time. I have choosen 10 Very good products to promote that will for sure last long in the market, so my forums will be useful and found on the internet when people is searching after those products. The forums is fully customizable down to each and every image, colors and even every word on the forum, so you can personlize the forum Exactly after the product you promote. They have demoforums that shows how different forums can be when using the controlpanel that you have for each forum. There are settings for just everything in your forum. It would be nice to hear if you find this interesting too.
yes probably.. the only thing is that you need to purchase alot of domains.. it cost quite much perheps.. Also I think it is more difficult to buy the forums because you might need all the script to host on your domains.. so it would be quite difficult. I think forums costs quite much? It works quite well to find the posts on google anyway the way I work. Maybe can see it as a kind of free advertising and alternative.
Nice idea to monetize forum with CB products. Always welcome this type of creative idea. By outsourcing all the task anybody can scale this up. You have to do some SEO work to make your forum SEO friendly.
Hmm.. I think this is a new idea. I don't it will be effective though. Anyway, creating a forum is easy but maintaning an active community is hard.
Yes it is quite much work because you have to write something sometimes. But people is dropping into the posts as I can see it on the views on the posts. It is lika blog in a way that you also have to maintain. Perheps it is an alternative in a way.. The thing I like about it is that is is free to do anyway if you dont want or are ready to pay for advertising and so. But it is some work to do. Nothing is easy to do anyway, like it is no shortcuts. Some work has to be done but I like the way anyway. The SEO is true, you have to think how you write things. Probably the first most important thing is to think about what you name the thread too. Like this thread is named: "A very good method affiliates can use to promote clickbank products" Google gives a great value to this when people are searching for something. If you actually search for this string on google now: "A very good method affiliates can use to promote clickbank products" It will come up at the top of results. This gives a good indication why I like to do this and it really do works. My posts is everywhere together with banners and affiliatelinks Then it is important to use the words that you used in your title when you continue writing your posts/discussion. Use the important words like in the case of this thread the most valuable words perheps are "promote clickbank products". Then it is important to use those three words sometimes when you write. But dont spam the words everywhere, because google doesn´t like this. Just have a natural balance. I am very serious about to not spam my forums, I do them good to 100% and dont just talk good about the products. I also find negative things and have a balance. But I have choosen strong brands that dont lie, that people can relate to and naturally like.
Yea... I agree this is a great idea, but forums require a lot of care and feeding. Unless you can find people interested in doing most of the moderation work for you.
The idea sounds good. It also sounds like a lot of unnecessary work though. Maintaining a forum is a lot of work. Especially if your maintaining one for each product. With a website you can build it, optimize it and move on.
There are WAYYYY too many Clickbank products. Too much work for me. I like the "work smarter not harder" approach.
very interesting post i was thinking myself how interesting this forum is and i am honestly enjoying posting here and reading replies etc. And all the time i am enjoying posting here i am getting my links noticed too its a win win situation as far as i can see and i will tke a serious look at webbinglife who knows watch this space haha
This is a good idea. Forums are a good source of traffic. I thought about creating my own forum and it's something I might do one day. Thanks for sharing.
its a cool idea but i would suggest buy a targeted domain name for keywords, running vbullitin or some other very powerfull forum software and also using PPC ads such as adwords intergrated into it so that i made money per page impression too. good idea, keep them coming
I like that idea! I also think there are advantages to staying on webbinglife rather than your own domain: taking advantage of their SEO, PR, etc, and setup is already done so it's plug and play. - and it looks less 'salesy' to piggyback on webbinglife. However, if you had a good reason for having your own domain name (branding), then you could have one domain name - awsomediscussions-com - with subdomains that forward to your webbinglife forum for each product (or self hosted).
