Here's something I just heard about, it's called Tag and Ping. What's Tag and Ping ? well this is what I have found. It's a linking system of getting high-quality backlinks (PR5+) and increasing web presence riding on the huge phenomenon of social bookmarking that is hitting the internet as we speak. Think Del.icio.us, Flickr, Technorati (and dozens of social bookmarking sites you and I have never head of!) The idea behind Tag and Ping is very powerful and it looks like it will become another real, legitimate way of generating quality backlinks and traffic like article syndication or blog and ping. From what I can gather only a few people are using Tag and Ping. I was alerted to this by a member of another Forum last night and told to listen to an exclusive call with Sean Wu, the creator of Tag and Ping. (I had to get out of bed at 2am so as I said to him, it better be bloody good). Tag and Ping will only be released June 2. Anyway if your interested in having a look Here's some information In case you're wondering (I did), he calls it Tag and Ping because just like Blog and Ping, this tactic can get websites listed in the search engines quickly and easily. Oh, and heres one of those unbiased testimonials Not only is the strategy brilliant, but the layout of the system allows even the novice to succeed. My first project allowed me to obtain 7 PR5 backlinks within minutes.
Actually guy's, so do I and I have no idea why people persevere with them. To me those sites say, "this product is crap and your a sucker if you buy it". But people with good products use them, I have a friend who gives songwriting tips and lessons, this guy is very good at that and has composed some top hits over the years. However his site is totally tipical of the clickbank sites...page a mile long full of buy this now and heres a bonus......testimonials everywhere....full on hype. Anyway he wonders why no one ever buys his product which as I said, is excellent. Anyway I have spoken to the guy who developed Tag and Ping and he does know what he is talking about......well I think he does, most it went straight over my head ......doesn't mean it's any good but I am willing to give it a go.......someone has to
I wasn't doubting the quality of the product, I just think I'm allergic to those 'get rick quick' pages, I tend to close them straight away. I'd be interested to hear more about tag and ping though, is there a demo set up anywhere?
One of my favorite ways to get links is to create a blog and put your links, then submit that blog to a directory or two. That way you can do many links at once. I like to use free blog providers that do not put ads on your blog, such as http://www.blogurple.com
I've never managed to "get rick" . Yea the page looks really spammy. If they can't find a way to advertise a great product without making it look like spam, I'd stay away from it. Skinny
I wonder who wrote these testimonials if "This Course is Currently in Prelaunch" and not available yet, as it is said on that page (which looks really spammy) The most interesting thing is the site in signature of the person who wrote one of the testimonials - MelvinNg.com - go check it yourself... LOL
I too like to steer clear of hype. I intend to teach everyone how to do the same thing for free. There is no "secret" and I guarantee the hype will be much bigger than the reality. If anyone cares to learn tagging and pinging for free then visit my post here: Tag and Ping Best Regards, Charles
netwhip is the guy who deserves money, not that spammy crap in the OP. Thank you netwhip for that invaluable page on tag and ping.
This is supposed to be new?? I've been doing this for almost a year!!! Tagging is kind of the whole point of using Technorati in the first place, it's partly what it was built on. Heck, there're even some WordPress plugins that're supposed to help with tagging, although none of them work quite right. The problem with tagging and pinging is that if you're blogging on something really popular, you're only going to be at the top of the results for a few minutes, a couple hours at best. If you did a search yesterday for "angelina jolie", there would've been a good 15-20 results marked "updated 15 minutes ago", and those results would be pushed to the 2nd page within a couple hours. Like any other keyword-based technique, for me tagging & pinging is most effective with niches where there's a decent amount of people looking for it and not too many people providing that content. To this day I'm still getting clicks from such tags I posted 3 months ago.
I returned sean's tang & ping for a refund wasnt happy.. specially since all the spammers are already at work..
