BACKGROUND TO MY QUESTION? I'm developing another website while working as a telephone marketing operator on a self employed basis. This pays £20 for every sale I open (various sectors). I earn up to £200 a day so cannot afford to upset anyone. However, most of the day I get put through to Voice Mails via switchboards and I collect names and other information from them for calling back but never leave a message - as I work from home. I was thinking how about I leave a message saying "look at my site" or words to that effect. Would anyone pay me for leaving messages on their behalf? The latter would be better as it would be difficult to trace the caller's (my) identity and there's less possibility of getting me in trouble. How much would people pay for say 50 voicemail messages a day to good companies within the UK. I have an excellent telephone voice and believe I could deliver a personalised jingle - if the price was right. Perhaps I should consider doing this full time and dump the tele-sales which is arduous. Please tell me what you think about this as soon as possible. Should anyone have the dosh, I could set them up a singing telephone call centre - imagine the PR that would bring! I'll get back to work now - I might be phoning you!

sounds like annoying telephone spam to me...not sure how good of response you'll get but could be worth a try
I could give you a list of telephone numbers with names of companies. I suppose it would have to be a trust thing. I wouldn't expect you to part with any money until we had everything worked out. What sort of website are you interested in promoting? I'm very select and ethical about what I would promote. As to the annoying telephone spam thing - true to a point but I am a telephone professional and have the knack of engaing people with my voice combined with an efficient non-time consuming method. The trick is to talk about them, ask intelligent relevant questions - not many can do that.

See your points but can't say I not amused by the high and mighty attitude - so middle class, parental and judgemental. I've spoken to other people who know all the facts and they feel it would be fine. I haven't much experience of web design and SEO apart from being ripped off by a few "professionals" in those fields. Nevertheless, the unique visitors to the site are five times what they were the first month and 80% of the uniques come from no refererer. Question is now, how do you market without contacting anyone and you don't have a budget to do so?
