I have read about the 60's when all the hippies were active and protesting. Now you have so many Americans that are so fed up right now. You don't see many of us protesting. Many are just working long hours to survive and put food on the table. I think we are in desperate need of some hippies right now. They could go camp out on the white house lawn until President Bush agreed to get rid of the patriot act. Does anyone know where we could find some hippies?
A bad President and vice President, does not mean America is bad. I'm surprised that you define your country in such narrow terms. These guys are 4 or 8 year placeholders in the system, not the system or the soul of the nation itself.
I think Cheney is the worst VP ever, but this article ain't so good either. He reminds me of Mr. Potter from 'It's a Wonderful Life.' But this very prattling, pedantic essay is hardly worth the effort... nor does it even come close to touching upon why Cheney is such a scumbag. Very poor writing indeed.
