A tripod site and two almost blank pages ahead of me

    I just decided to do a sweep through Google SERPs to see where I might land for chemistry help (see links below).

    There were like 3 tripod sites ahead of me that hadn't been updated since 2003.

    What gives there?

    one possible factor is age of the domain. XD that what i knew so far from the information you provided. give us more details we might can tell you more.

    so domain age is the overall winning factor.

    for three sites i know....they do not even have a keyword density worth mentioning, one has no title, and its not updated.

    i am baffled...my site is not perfect by any means but ......
