Celebrating another persons defeat, I understand. Your guy can't get more then 4% of the vote in a primary so this is the only thing you have to be happy about. How pathetic

With the field narrowing, as it does in every election, the only thing it seems to be accomplishing for Ron Paul is that he has no more competition for last place now!

    Being last doesn't accomplish anything.

And when your current dickhead candidate drops out Paul will be guaranteed 3rd place minimum! [IMG]

More chance of him getting recognised mate. ;)

    And he'll still be last.

RP's problem isn't that he's not recognized. It's that he IS recognized.

lol that's so true. Its much better that no one knows your name and you finish last, then everyone knowing your name and finishing last.

14% in Nevada, 10% in Iowa, 8% in New Hampshire, 6% in Michigan, and 2nd in Louisiana.

Perhaps your issues with math are what holds you back in the economics threads. In which case, I apologize for being so hard on you.

As Giuliani figured out. That's why Thompson and Giuliani dropped out. The best either of them could do was a 3rd place finish. Paul already has two second place finishes in states with real delegate counts.

When McCain gets the shout backed by your bud Giuliani and is up against Hillary (who has the Democrap nomination in the bag) and Hillary gets voted in as President it will go from bad to worse for the USA because of it's corrupt Administration with it's quest to ruin the world.
You'll maybe try and understand why the world doesn't need any more Clinton's and Bushes and Bushes and Clinton's and Clinton's and Bushes and Bushes and Clinton's.

Aren't these non-binding? RP is last in delegate count as well.

Non-Binding? Do you even understand the delegate process?

All of the primaries before Feb 5th, have been stripped of 1/2 of their delegates. Florida was to be worth 114, but they will only give up 57.

The Caucuses except Wyoming (for some incredibly stupid reason by the state GOP) are not actually nominating delegates until Feb 5th or later, and send their full counts forward. That is why Paul's 5th in Iowa, and two 2nds in Nevada and Louisiana are worth more than winning NH and SC combined if it is properly played out.

While other campaigns are slapping themselves on the ass for winning Caucus straw polls, RPers have been filling precinct and delegate positions.

At this point, it's important for Huckabee to stay in, and keep taking the evangelical vote away from McCain and Romney.

I ask again, are the second place finishes RP took non-binding?

    Please, no deflection this time.

There was no deflection. It would take me a couple days to explain the entire process to you. I'm surprised you aren't more aware of it.

Iowa's delegates are not bound. Nevada's delegates are not bound. Louisiana's delegates are only bound if someone gets 50%+1vote in the upcoming straw poll, which is highly unlikely.

I was not seeking an explanation. I asked a yes or no question.

So my question was based on a correct understanding....that the two second place finishes RP has, in these low profile states, are non-binding?

Thank you. That is all I asked. I appreciate you focusing your comments to the simple answer I asked for.

Yeah, but I really felt you needed an explanation, because you do not seem to understand the caucus or state convention, CD proportional allocations etc. systems. Any buffoon can grasp the idea of a winner take all primary. There are 50 states with a myriad of processes, some traditional, and some hybrid.

Absolutely. If there is no clear winner in bound delegates at the RNC, and they can't get a clear winner from the unbound candidates on the first ballot, ALL delegates become unbound, and those Florida Ron Paul delegates, can forget voting for McCain, and vote their conscience.

No problem. I take a lot of pride in educating you daily.
