A theory I have - Adsense limits people?

Last year I ran a little test on adsense to see if this is correct and I think I'm onto something that is a little stressful.

    - I had one site that was averaging $15 per day (we'll call it Major A)
-I started and did a little seo to 12 mini sites to try to get each one to earn around $1 a day.
After a few months most of them couldn't earn over 50cents a day. They were built on keywords that I couldn't rank.
However one site was earning around $2 per day, another 1.50 per day, and the third at $1 per day.

I did not stop promoting my "Major A" site and the traffic and ranking were still strong with it, but for a strange unknown reason It was averaging $12 per day. The click worth went down so realistically I only was making around $1 more than before even though I was giving them much more clicks and the traffic was higher with the total of my network of sites.

When I realized this I thought to myself "This isn't good". There is a good possibility that adsense is literately holding down peoples' accounts with some kind of a barrier limit of profit for whatever reason. There was not enough evidence so I got an idea. I sold all of the 12 mini sites and kept the one "Major A" site.

    This is Shocking!!!
After I sold them on the next month Major A experienced a much higher click worth and I was earning an average of $18 per month without any additional traffic. Today, a year later, extra traffic does not really impact my site. If I get 20,000UV per month or 50,000UV per month the profit will only increase a few dollars. If my calculations are correct then google is simply not allowing me to earn much more money.

So with this knowledge in mind, what is the point of getting into another website? or buying one when I know its just going to be all the same at the end of the day?

What do you think of this theory?

I would put my money moreso on the fact that it was a mix of temporary smart-pricing with the quality of the mini-sites weighing down the account-wide payout %. Smart pricing is always a problem :-/

Besides the smart pricing, there could also be the factor that the more # of sites, more impressions, thus reducing your adsense account's overall CTR. I think in all probability it would help to use just one adsense account on one or perhaps two sites at the max.

    Nice research though.

But each site should be independent on its earnings. The smart pricing affected another site.

Well.. playing along with the assumption, I'd say that's what they'd want us to believe. Each site being independent. From my perspective.. I run a few blogspot blogs (as a 2nd tier) which have adsense on them. The days I see impressions but no clicks on blogspot is the day when my main money site sees very less earnings as compared to days when there are no visitors to the blogspot sites and my money site daily earnings get back to 'normal'

I suppose no one will be able to get to the heart of Google adsense... But what other alternatives are there.. the rest are just 'adsense wannabe' programgs

Ouch.. That might explain my earning going down the drain..

Im running it on 160 websites, adding around 15 websites a day my earnings keep on going down.. Strange? Or Myth Plausible?

It can be just plain 'plausible' and nothing beyond that in my view. I mean the best anyone can do is just speculate. There are so many factors that come into play.. and I guess some factors that we just don't know about. The bottom line being that adsense/adwords has been successful simply due to the rev share model. Now how much of rev share and the fine print.. that's a different story.
