A Suggestion From DP Users & Mods

    Hi,

    Suppose someone is giving a service in Buy, Sell, Trade section and is asking for advance payment. You talk to him on DP Private Messages and make an advance payment because his iTrader is quite nice. After the payment he gives a specific day for the work. But when the day arrives you see that the guy is banned from Digital Point Forums. Now what should you do since you have paid him. Is your money lost? Or is it lost for a long time till that guy gets unbanned?

    You can always ask for his Email ID and IM name to continue talking even if he is banned. :)
    I mean ask it once you start business with someone. So that there won't be any problem even if they are banned on DP.

    Click on his username and you can see the option to "Send Email". Use this option to continue talking to him.

    sometime the banned is just for temporary, 3, or 7 days ban

    I have emailed him with this method but haven't heard from him in last 7 days.

    Its been 7 days, he is still banned.

    Can't a moderator tell me when will he get unbanned? So that he doesn't get a negative iTrader due to not knowing of me waiting for his reply. That would be unfair with him if he doesn't use the email address linked with DP. Further I also am waiting for his reply. :(

    As saladflorida said the bans are usually for only 7 days,apparantly this is not the case here.Even though they may not like it or agree to,I always insist on service first then payment.If this is not agreeable a phonecall usually convinces them.If they still want payment up front,I go elsewhere.Good luck to you,hope it all works out.
