A suggestion for reducing PM Spam

Dear Mods,

I'm sure, this must have been suggested before. Is it possible to apply a 'post count' limit before someone can send a PM? I understand, this will invite a lot of 'thank you, nice thread' posts, but I already see a lot of 'great post' posts. But still, people will have to wait to reach the 25 (or whatever number pf posts you decide) posts count to send a PM. I believe, this will discourage a lot of people who already 'know that their account will be soon banned' but as soon as they join, they start sending PMs madly to who ever they find active.
