A stupid eBay question I should know the answer to...

If somebody gets my CJ/eBay cookie from hitting one of my US targeted sites, but they then manually type in eBay.co.uk or eBay.com.au - does my cookie cross the border with them?

Doubt it. The cookie is tied to the domain, I believe.

actually every ebay has it's own cookies. so it's 100% sure .New user registration should be from same country in same ebay whose banner is clicked.

Border is There if user ll go to other ebay site.

    thanks

    That's what I thought.

eBay is one big wet blanket sometimes - why can't they just link it all up? :(

Yeah, i agree kerosene. We've to join at least 5 different ebay affiliate programs (usa, uk, de, es, etc. etc.). It should be only one

Not only do we have to join all the programs, we have to provide "buy this thing in the UK" links to make it work for a global target.

eBay could make a killing if they merged all their affiliate programs into one.

ebay has the geo-targeting power, so it's very easy to them do such a thing.
I really don't understand why they don't do it

For mine, I run an IP check for the country. If it matches one of the international sites that eBay pays out on (UK, Canada, etc) I then send them to that affiliate ebay link. If they dont match one I get paid for, I just send them to the US site.
