Hello everyone! This is my first post here although I certainly not new to posting. hehe. I have browsed these forums for a long time without creating an account however the current situation requires me to ask a few questions. I have achieved a couple rankings before on yahoo before and many in google. However my current campaign requires everything to be perfect because I am planning on it for it to be my business to give an income to live on. My questions regard the purchasing of links but I will touch on that in a minute. Below is a listing of one of my main competitors using SEO Elite. (Site name will remain anonymous for privacy of course) The following is the number of unique IP address links and the respectful PR it comes from. Competitor: ----------- PR0 -- 698 PR1 -- 64 PR2 -- 136 PR3 -- 154 PR4 -- 113 PR5 -- 55 PR6 -- 13 PR7 -- 1 PR8 -- 1 PR9 -- 0 PR10 -- 0 Here is what my site currently has. I am also listed in the !Yahoo directory and a few others. PR0 -- 109 PR1 -- 1 PR2 -- 5 PR3 -- 6 PR4 -- 5 PR5 -- 2 PR6 -- 1 PR7 -- 0 PR8 -- 0 PR9 -- 0 PR10 -- 0 Now my question is this. I am currently using both Link Metro and Link Market to do my link exchanging program. I am also using Article Marketer as a means of gaining inbound links. I am asking for opinions on this process but more so as to link buying. I have been viewing the link buying forum here on digitalpoint and I see a few offers for sitewide links with over 100K pages indexed. Would this greatly affect or rather help my standing by any means? I do know that after a certain amount of links from the same IP/domain the value will start to decrease significantly. Yet then again, I see a couple sites that are ranking in the top 5 for my target keyword who have over 20K links all from the same domain. For those who have ranked successfully in a busy market what are your opinions? All those with knowledge please contribute as I am looking forward to the responses in order to help my business. The goal is to gain about 2 - 3K (preferably unique) links in a 8 months time. Best wishes for all and thanks for helping! Adrian, PS: Also if you have a site that has to do with Education, Language, etc........ please PM with details on price and PR of site as well if it is a sitewide link or not.
Hi eXe I am assuming quantity meaning sitewide links is ok? Could you explain a little further? Best Regards,
Yeah absolutely, it works! But the most important rule here is relevancy. Links to your site from every page on a relevant site is obviously much better than a single link. But links from sites that are not related to yours aren't as valuable. So it might be worth considering buying sitewide links on a PR4 site (related to yours) that has hundreds or thousands of pages indexed, rather than spend that amount on purchasing a single PR6 link. Also keep in mind that out of the hundreds or thousands of pages indexed, several of them may have individual PR
Thanks for the clarification. Of course revelancy yes I was browsing around the links buy pages and I have yet to find a sitewide for education related, languages etc...
I'd suggest that you contact these link partners and get links from them. Thats a sure shot way of doing better than your competition!
