    If it were started with the RIAA's backing, while they launched a huge attack on those that are illegally downloading, then I could see people going for it.

    "Make Your Songs Legal", they'd advertise.

    Thanks, Matt. I can sit at home and do nothing and not make money. Brand recognition on the internet is about as fleeting as a pop star's career. Moving on...

    i think the idea in principle is great, but would such a thing be easy to create? there would need to be some sort of co-operation with companies that sell the mp3s wouldnt there?
