Hi all, I am just putting the finishing touches on a nice little sports card site I built for a buddy of mine. It is just a little site to say here I am, and here is what I have, please stop on in. It is based of a template I bought some time ago but had not used until now. Have a look, and feel free to comment.

    Thanks, Mike

The website itself is pretty solid, The color scheme is off, it feels kind of grimy and dirty and the logo feels kind of out-of-place. It could do with colors more in-line with the rest of the site and less "bubble" effect on the text, it gives it a power-point feel. You could also consider changing the pattern behind the logo, so that it fades on both sides so it blends in smoothly with the header band, so it would look as if the logo itself were casting revealing light on the checkered pattern. Some type of hover effect on the navigation and smaller "More" buttons with a standard 3 dots would also give it a more refined feel.

Hi, johnxstone Thanks for taking the time to look at the site, I had wanted to do a different logo but he wanted to keep his existing logo, and with the navigation I have always done a lot of rollover effects with my sites, so I wanted to do it a little differently. I did not even notice I went crazy with the more button dots until you pointed it out.

    Hi,
You did a great job on putting it together and I like the way everything is lay out, but I also feel like something not quite right with the colors. It seems to me the header, footer and so on are a bit to dark. It doesn't give me that sports feeling when I'm looking at it. I would try to lighted those parts up a little and then I feel you will have a site anyone would be proud of.

Hi joe, thanks for the review. When I get some time I will try some different color combos.

Nice site, looks like the images could be optimized tho. The thumbs look to be around 20K in size...If I was using dialup the page would take a while to load. Very professional design, I wish you every success with it.

    Hi
It looks good, but you might want to change the color of the text in footer. May be Green as in the header image.
