Here is a story about how posting on digg help generate some traffic to my new website. Tip #1: Make your digg topic unique or controversial. I posted a collection of videos that were about the US government, Iraq war, federal reserve and the IRS. As with most of us we are not too happy with the current administration. The post got about 300 diggs. I would have gotten more but I mixed in videos of the 9/11 truth movement which pissed some users off (those clips are now moved to another channel). http://digg.com/videos/people/Corporate_media_has_decided_that_you_do_not_need_to_know_this Tip #2: Get your personal community to digg it! You will need at least 20 or 30 diggs before others users would even conceder looking at your post. Find a like minded network to digg your post. Digg is a popularity contest. The end result was about 7k visits and about 28 bookmarks on delicious. This is nothing new just wanted to share my story

Digg is great, but those guys can get a little flighty. Also, it is bad news to try to digg your own stuff...find a friend to digg And...by all means don't forget the power of Fark.com
