Hiyas for those of you who know me here you will know that I rarely rant about anything but one thing I would like to rant about just now is when you take time out of your day to write a PM to try to help someone or to add to a conversation and the person you send it to doesnt even bother responding to say thankyou. numerous times lately ive sent pms to people to help them or to add to their conversation in private, one was particularly long and noone has replied, this is a growing trend I have noticed here on DP. So guys please if someone takes their own personal time to write a lengthy pm to you, or even a short one to try to help you in some way at least give the common courtesy of a reply to say thankyou, it's not much considering the effort I know some folk put in to help others. sorry if it's not my place to complain about it but it's been getting on my nerves lately. would be interesting to hear your thoughts on this.
I always reply to PM's (inc spam, telling them to shut the hell up and go bother someone else). It must be pretty annoying to help someone for them to ignore you.
Spam pms are the only ones I dont reply to lol, I just forward them and make them wish they hadnt spammed me it's not specifically at people who you pm to try to help, its just people you pm in general sometimes too one time I spent ages on a long reply via pm because a thread was closed but I felt i could still add to the ops opinion, and it was a few large paragraphs long and I didnt get a response. It does get tiring lol
I have been fortunate in this matter. I receive a 'thanks' mail even from people who have recently joined the forum if I managed to solve their problem. It's unfortunate that people are not bothering to respond to helpful folks on the forum.
Admitedly most do have the decency to say thanks but more and more dont seem to be doing that (unless its just me)
