I will not fancy any vocab here... the idea is pretty easy and is used by gurus of SEO. I don't have much experience in blogging (2nd month from scratch) but I do love to research a lot ... I've found that "Content" is the only way you can get good traffic!

I've been getting 3 to 4000 hits per day.. most of them are stumble but Targeted visitors.. who are a good asset for my adsense. In these months, I've figured out that if you have a good topic, you are bound to get good amount of visitors.

After realizing that, I've got my hands / wrote only 3 to 4 good articles.. and the page views on those articles in huge! Recently, (Couple of hours back) I did the same.. R&D a topic, wrote on it and it's getting pretty cool page views (2 every 10 seconds) ...

So bottom line is, go for quality alongwith quantity to get your hopes high.

I'm sorry, I couldn't follow what was going on in that thread. Good content and a catchy title are definitely important for getting a lot of traffic with SU. Your goal should be for at least 50% of the people who are stumbled on your page to hit the thumbs up, which will increase the likelihood that others will be stumbled to your page. If they thumbs up your page and write a review, that's even better. So far I've only tried promoting my "pillar" blog posts with SU, as opposed to just random rants and observations. I'm still tweaking my methods, but the results have been ok so far.

I have found that with stumble up I get most of my traffic when I submit either a funny picture or a short joke. Most content that is long and has to be read doesn't get me that much traffic. Could also depend on all the content as well. :)

Ya I agree with your findings. Quality articles is the key and no need to be so long.

You guys left out keywords, you got to have keywords that people will search with as well, I have a couple of pages that have nothing really on them but the words on those pages get searched all the time and I still get traffic.
