My friend has a website that makes $1200 or more per month from adsense alone. the site is a wallpaper site. he has a offer of $20,000 on the site he asked me if he should sell it. I said no. his only expense on the site if $2 per month and make more than $1000 profit. do you think he should sell it ?
Can we see a link to the site? I don't think he should sell it. He gets 1200 a month. He can easily earn the 20,000 in less than a year. He can still improve the site and get more earnings from it, not just from adsense.
I will advice him not to sell the golden site, he can improve the site and earn more from the site. Starting a new site, that will earn that may not be easy. Good luck
He gets like 4000 - 6000 visitors per day. I told him the same thing dont sell it. He is a stupid he had one site related to cats and was making more than $1000 from adsense and he sold it for $9000. such a dumb mistake he did. had he waited.

no dont sell invest at least half the $1200 a month on advertising and seo, get top place rankings in google and some good advertising and you'll be able to double them 6000 visitors and double your profits, then sell it for $50k ;-)
don't sell it. If you look at that website as a business it's value is roughly 3 x profits per year. That's around 60K-70K! Keep the site. Enjoy the profits. Improve and earn even more.
Ahh i have heard many stories and seen many sites making good earnings but not any wallpaper site making so much amount per month . I hope you can share his site link with us .
The smart thing is to sell the website. Here is why: If he sells the site for $20,000, it it about 18 months of income. If your friend was smart enough to make a $1200/month website, he should be able to make another one within few months(6 to 12 months) providing he has the expertise and knowledge. Can you see he should sell the site?
i agree with rahman15 mine suggestion would also be selling the site.you never know when adsense gonna kick you remember.
in this weak economic time, the guy is probably in debt and needs the quick cash, and he's considering ways to get to that $$
not saying he should sell it but if he was consdering it 12-18 months revenue is a standard formula when selling a site. 20,000 is a pretty good offer if he is making 1200
