A Simple Trick I Learned

After studying some SEO stuff online for a few years, I learned a simple trick by accident. If you go to http://www.google.com/addurl/ (Google) and http://search.msn.com/docs/submit.aspx?FORM=WSDD2 (MSN) to submit your URL, it usually only takes 3-7 days to hit rotation, and not 6-8 weeks. It also gets picked up by Yahoo!, Ask, Excite, and a few other major search engines all at once. My guess is that they are all working off the same system somehow.

As far as optimizing your site for results, that's a different story. Just thought I would try to save some of you some time submitting to every search engine out there like I use to do. Its not perfect, but it gets the job done

 

Here is a method that will have you listed within 24/hrs....or less...i've had a site indexed in as little as 20 minutes at times.

Create a digg.com account and create a digg on your site and then digg it.....that's it...it your digg article will placed on the front page of digg.com for 24 hours and Google loves to crawl that site.

Not to mention the backlink power will sometimes land you on the front page of Google for your digg alone.

Classic example is to Google these words.

"painting Lynchburg, VA" .....your sure to find my digg site first in line.

you can also use pingomatic.com to ping all in one short.

 

The more links you have from social bookmarking sites and article directories for more chance you have got of being indexed sooner - basically as soon as googlebot hits their site you will get indexed - could be within 24 hours even sometimes.
