There are always threads on monetizing a site better, and lately about buying up websites that aren't monetized well in hopes of making some easy money. But I think that there's also another option out there that can cost next to nothing and virtually anyone can do. Look for local (or non-local) small businesses / people who have a great offline product that could be a great online product if they've only tried. I've seen tons of great offline businesses, services, and so forth that I know would make a fortune online if it was marketed right. If you establish some kind of a relationship with the owners, a good portion might be more than willing to listen to you and cut you in on a percent of the profit for you doing what you do -- marketing online.
