a restaurant reviews logo is needed - $30 via PayPal to the winner

Hi all

I need a logo for a restaurant reviews website.
this is the current logo but we are doing a liftup to the website and change all the design + logo

the new logo, should take elements from the old one so it will be somekind of consistency, but more modern, more web 2.0
it should reflect the essence of the website - resturant reviews, i had an idea about using a fork and a pen/pencil as visual elements but if have other ideas u r welcomed

this is the new header - left top corner, here the logo will be placed

colors: orange+gray or orange+gray+a bit of green (secondary color) , to fit the color theme of the website

the name : combination of restaurant and rang ( rank/ranking in french) so it is Resto ranG (capital G)


I will provide feedback to all participating designers.

thanks for so much submissions. i like the variety, i didn't see something that made me wow.
please think on the size of the logo, some elements look good in 400px width but when resized to the actual size are less attractive.
also the part in the header where it says text, is for the city name, so don't erase it. it is there to stay.
if u have a visual element - put the name of the site above it so it will be near the name of the city



try to be creative, just to write the name of the site and put a pencil or a fork besides it, doesn't make an interesting logo

specific remarks:
featherpen - a bit dull, u used a fork but didn't do anything speical with it.
tanay46 - again u put a fork and a pencil, but just to put them near the name, doesn't make it a logo
TindiRindi - u tried to keep something from the old logo (the border line) but i don't like the direction
onlyfights - not bad, i liked it a lot, i like the visual, at least the concept, the implementation is so so (the pencil doesn't look good), i would like to see it with a different fonts/variations. but i really like it in general
Robi - graphic element is a bit missing
xiaeron - not the asked colors
creative-rascal - i will pm the feedback, good job
allofall - u tried to do something with the pencil and fork with is blessed, but when resizing it to actual logo size on the screen, it will not be understood to the viewer.
luka-jokes - i think u haven't read my post at all
Aphanius mento - interesting concept, a bit complicated for a logo, but bold design. the implementation with the pencils is so so, but definitely an original direction
austin-G - nice, simple, didn't make me wow
gamelord - nice, i don't like the coffee cup, in small size it is not understood.
