Weirdly enough i recieved a message back from adsense today on smart pricing. In reply to a message i sent them a month back about my concern. Supporting my claims that smart pricing is temporary, they said such pricing will not last for long. And that you should be earning a lot more after a small period. Is this support of my theory that smart pricing is indeed temporary for different niches?
smart price penalty is temporary for any website (if it is applied). Keep getting links for your website and increase user's trust in it by adding original quality content and the penalty will disappear.
I agree with you. I told people that a while back. But then they get into the discussion saying that google penalizes bad traffic through your site, and that its based on the traffic you attract. I find that blatently wrong. Because there is no guidleline for that not many agree with me, but i will stand by my words.
That is a standard response, unless your website starts ranking really well in google, smart pricing can stay forever.
I think they just mean that the smart pricing penalty is only implemented for a short time, and the site is re-evaluated regularly. If your site is constantly getting poor traffic, then it will constantly be smart priced.
Know that Smart Pricing is very important for your web site - the better position you achieve, the higher earnings you will have. As someone said above, just make sure to have unique content and linking back
Cut and paste this email where they said "you should be earning a lot more after a small period." I call BS. Why on earth would anyone at google have any idea on your future earnings? Because, they don't, and you made the last part up. If your clicks don't convert, you'll never get out of smartpricing. Thats why some clicks are worth .01c and why some are averaging .50c and onwards.
Yes, it's temporary, just like was said in the last debate, and NO, it's not niche based but ACCOUNT based, just like was said in the last debate. This new email adds NOTHING to what was already discussed.
