If I set up an "A-Record" on my domain provider. Will that be all I need to send requests to www.mydomain.com to an IP such as 111.111.111.111

    Yes.

For example. I have this setup:

My registrar points to my server.
My server as an A record for home.domain.com with the IP adress of my home.

So whenever I type home.domain.com in browser, ftp or else, traffic gets routed to my home pc.

A Records point NAMES to IP's
so that soulds like what you are looking for.

If the IP changes alot, you might want to look for some type of dynip program to use.

    Hi Rusty,

Without knowing the domain name / server information we won't be able to help you much at all.
