Just my friend reported me his first day of adsense

Is this normal

i agree the keywords may be cheap
but this cheap???????

check for any mistake, this is really low.

 

Both the CTR and CPC are ridiculously low. The quality of niche, paying capacity of the keywords, source of traffic, ad placements etc. require in depth analysis.

 

Did he really expect to become a millionaire overnight just by putting ads on his website ?

With that level of traffic I would be expecting $200 + regardless of the keyword unless it is "Free" or "Best colour for an elephant"....

 

You really need to wait a while longer then take a look at your stats.

 

Waiting is the best thing for Google.

 

Dude I get 10K + impressions per day and 100+ clicks each day but I stil consider my ctr low and I am trying to improve on this. I think I myself have sites which are about low paying niches. But talking about you stats there can be two possibilities.

1) majority of your clicks are considered by google as invalid clicks for some reason and they are not counted.
2) ads on your site are not placed very well where users can click on them so that is the reason of your low ctr.

If you could tell us what type of sites you have it would be easier to tell what's going wrong.

 

I'd abandon the website, maybe check up on it in a month. There's something that Google thinks is worthless about either the content or the traffic. I registered a new domain 2 weeks ago and on it's first day it's average CPC was higher than your examples entire days worth of earnings. Two weeks later the average CPC of this site still dwarfs what you've shown there.

 

do not leave adsense friend .. have some patience with it

 

its not normal. the percent should be 2-3%. not lower. getting $0.05 per click is normal.

 

Same thing happen to me also .i got 2k uv daily but got less than $1. Please help me you can see my site link in my signature....

 

The first day results should not be taken into so much consideration . Just wait and watch for anothr 10days . I hope things will get better for you .

 

It's a long trial and error process to get results from adsense and I personally stopped playing it a long time back. Patience is a virtue in this game too.
