A Quick $30 Logo Contest (48 hours) for a Construction Company

I am needing a logo for a construction company website. This company is a specialty construction company that prides themselves on their craftsmanship. Below I will give some examples of some of the logo's they like, but they want some flare to them and please be creative. They need to look professional and please no cartoon looking logos. The two requirements the logo must contain are the golden saw and the cross hairs. Also "Precision Construction Specialists" is the name of the company and needs to be spelled out like in the logo examples below. One option they would like to see but is not a requirement is to mix some nice looking flames into the logo combined with the other three requirements.

All submissions must be publicly posted in the thread. I DO NOT ACCEPT PM SUBMISSIONS.

Please use these as a guide to what the company currently likes but again, needs more creativity and flare in the logo.

I will provide feedback as quickly as possible but unfortunately my work blocks digital point and therefore I will only be able to respond during my off hours. I have asked Mightybutton to participate in helping me moderate this contest during these off hours to help be more fair to you gifted designers.

@elli_boy You have the right requirements but I think the saw needs to be more dominate and the crosshairs bolder, Also try to intermingle the lettering over the saw and some different styles of font would be good. Hope this helps some, try another submission. Also feel free to try and add some flames into the logo in some way.

@Arshath Make the saw gold, and try to throw some color so we can see how that looks.

 

I swear that I am still trying to find the meaning of cross hair for a construction company, so I totally removed it and put a... compass

@ YoGem I like it, but you will have to add in the crosshairs I still stay keep your compass though it looks nice. I agree that it does not make sense but it is what the company wants =( Also, I would love to see a version of yours with possibly adding in some type of flames in it.

@ Arshath It looks better with the color in it, Maybe try an orange color for the hat. Also, enlarge the saw a bit and try to make the cross hairs little more defined or detailed. Also move that saw and cross hair over to the right a little closer to the company name. Hope this helps some.

 

So you really mean flames!! Ah... ok! I will also add somewhere a cross-hair...

 

Yeah, so far I keep envisioning flames coming out much how sparks do with a saw blade, or even a sawcut line of flames from the sawblade possibly underlining the company name. Just thoughts of mine really. But like I said that is completely optional, I know it is tedious making flames look realistic.

@Arshath I love the new hat. Still would like to see the gold saw bigger and the cross hairs defined or darkened somehow and see how that looks.

 

I am not the CH but I feel that something is wrong with your logo, don't you think is a bit dispersive and that the crosshair is a bit low resolution? If the CH need it for print, they will ask you a refund!
