A question to cell phone enthusiasts from India

    Hi guys,
I'm planning to buy a new mobile phone. I have just two criteria -

    1. It should be easy to send and receive emails from the mobile phone. (My most important need right now)

    2. It should have a decent memory so I can store some really cool songs.

Please don't suggest N96, iPhone, or Blackberry. I'm not thinking of spending 30K on a mobile phone. Anything in the mid income range would be really nice. I'd appreciate some input.

    Thanks.

    Dude,
I'd appreciate if you could give me some more info. Especially with the email part. Have you used any of these mobile phones yourself? Which one do you recommend? I'd like to get some firsthand information from someone. Thanks.

If you are from India, the following site would provide a better insight into all the features of the famous brands available and I promise I am in no way affiliated with the site. It is http://www.indiagsm.com/

try motorola,.... Rokr E6 or better E8! (touch screen)

i have a moto Rokr E6 i bought early this year, and it works gr8 from email (full qwerty keypad; (touch screen)) to mp3 to videos to movies, ... to google maps ( i looked at bill gates house first! :D )

camera is not that good, 2MP,.... not recommeded if ur into photograghy

thing with moto is they are linux phones, so no anti virus or anything required!
and loads of free mods and programs around, ... open source!

    hope this helps.

Thanks dude. I'll look into that.

Does LG VIEWTY have push email?

ROKR E6 sounds like a good option. I'll take a look at that.

Thanks very much for all your suggestions. If anyone else has any other suggestions, I'm all ears. :)

I would suggest you to buy Nokia E90. It costs around 32 K, very close to your budget of 30K and have all the features that you want.

Blackberry is a good phone for sending emails when clubbed with airtel connection as they provide good network coverage.
