Hello friends, I am confused about TLD's I want to start a Indian Stock Market Blog but I am not getting a proper name in .com I registered www.stocksnext.com but i think this is not suitable for the niche... and mainly I will be focusing on Search Engine Traffic... I found some domain name of .in TLD's so will .in also rank the same in the Search Engines ??? as .com will give results ??? Please suggest.. Abhishek
Country TLD's will help you rank better in country specific searches and data centers. If your "main" audience is India I would go with *.in, but *.com can rank just as well if you use geo-targeting in your Google Webmasters Central dashboard for that site.
If it is country specific (India), I would say .in can even be better. It may not be very brandable, but surely good for search engines. And, you can get some good names there. But thats just my opinion.
If you want to focus on Indian Traffic then .in can be good if you are not able to find a .com else try to come up with a nice name on a .com ( easy to remember )
